Our Time is Precious, Respect It!

There is nothing I dislike more than someone wasting my time. I am sure that is true for you as well. Time is one of those precious gems we have that if we give it away, we can NEVER get it back. Do you respect your time? If you do, then you should respect other people’s time as well. If you set up a session with a coach, please make sure to be on time and if you are not going to make it, let them know immediately. I do understand that things come up last minute and sometimes it is beyond our control. But we all know someone that procrastinates and don’t really have respect for their time, let alone ours.

I met a client a few months back. Very enthusiastic and eager to start her sessions. Provided her with a 30 minute free session to get to know each other and for me get a feel for her. That went very well. She was very excited and said that she would be interested in having one session per week. I said great, and put her opening packet together and sent it her way. NEVER HEARD BACK! That was a waste of her time and mine. She showed a lack of respect for her time as well as my time.

Let your yes mean yes and your no mean no. Matthew 5:37. Simple! If you know deep down that you are not going to follow through, then be honest with yourself. This is the first step to starting to respect your time and that of others. There is no shame in admitting our shortcomings. The bigger problem is not doing anything about them.
